SV	Het geschiedde nu, als de koning de woorden der wet hoorde, dat hij zijn klederen scheurde.
WLC	וַיְהִי֙ כִּשְׁמֹ֣עַ הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ אֵ֖ת דִּבְרֵ֣י הַתֹּורָ֑ה וַיִּקְרַ֖ע אֶת־בְּגָדָֽיו׃
Trans.	wayəhî kišəmō‘a hammeleḵə ’ēṯ diḇərê hatwōrâ wayyiqər^a‘ ’eṯ-bəḡāḏāyw:

AC	יט ויהי כשמע המלך את דברי התורה--ויקרע את בגדיו
ASV	And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the law, that he rent his clothes.
BE	And the king, hearing the words of the law, took his robe in his hands, violently parting it as a sign of his grief.
Darby	And it came to pass when the king heard the words of the law, that he rent his garments.
